Marsala is Pantone's 2015 Color of the Year

Every year, the Pantone Color Institute nominates a Color of the Year, forecasting which specific hue designers and consumers will all supposedly be using, wearing, and buying, in makeup, clothes and design, for the following 12 months.
For 2015, Pantone announced that Color of the Year is Marsala.
Pantone described the color as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red, a color that enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

DIY project: Felt Christmas ornaments

An easy DIY project I had published in my old blog for cute, handmade, felt Christmas ornaments:

Christmas Tree
 1) Draw the outlines on green, red, brown and white pieces of felt.
 2) Cut the figures: a tree, a star, a gingerbread man, an angel, etc...

3) Sew the details: beads on the tree and the star, eyes, mouth and buttons on the gingerbread, eyes and mouth on the angel.
4) Sew two sides of each ornament with embroidery thread, using the "blanket stitch":

blanket stitch

5) Leave one side unsewn and fill the ornament with a big cotton ball.
6) Then, finish sewing the contour. On the upper part of each ornament sew a piece of ribbon, to hang from the tree.

Happy Holidays!!!
